• Get Extra 24 months of warranty. Maximum total coverage up to 7 years if you purchase extended warranty of 5 years. Coverage begins at the expiration of the manufacturer provided or purchased extended warranty.
• Reimbursement up to the amount charged to Citi Card with maximum per item limit of $10,000.
• Repair, replace or reimbursement provided based on claim.
• 24 months additional warranty provided as long as some manufacturer warranty exists (Even if the manufacturer warranty is 6 months or less).

As you can see from above, if the item is an expensive one then Citi provides an excellent coverage. You could technically charged partial amount to the card and still would have extended warranty up to the amount charged on Citi credit card. Also 24 months is an additive extended warranty. So you can purchase additional warranty from manufacturer or the store and Citi would extend it further up by 24 months with maximum total of 7 years.

So, if you are considering purchasing a big ticket item (except the one from exception list as provided by Citi benefits guide) your best bet would be to go with Citi Credit Card.

Chase Sapphire Credit Card is the baseline credit card you will need to transfer your Chase Flexible points a.k.a "Chase Ultimate Rewards Points" to various airlines and hotels partners of Chase Ultimate Rewards program (Apart from there Ink Preferred card). The good news is Chase has increased the sign up offer for their "Chase Sapphire Preferred Card" which has $95 annual fee to 80,000 points after $4,000 spend in 3 months after sign up. In addition it is throwing in additional $50 for grocery purchase reimbursement in your first year of the card. 

The best part of the offer is Chase has "Chase Pay Yourself back" feature where with Sapphire Preferred card you can redeem the points in select rotating category at 1:1.25 ratio. Qatar Airways is a one of the premium airlines to travel with due their amazing business class and first class cabins as well as great service. They are Oneworld alliance partner so you can travel with them using other partner airline miles. While not widely popular Qatar Airways miles earning Privilege Club program (referral link) has some gems in it and recently they have made the program a little inline in terms of award price for travelling on their own metal compared to other Oneworld piers. So, if you are short on time then this is your best bet.
• Transfer from Citi ThankYou points: If you hold a Citi Premier or Citi Prestige credit card you can transfer your Citi ThankYou points to Qatar Airways Qmiles in block of 1,000 ThankYou points to 1,000 Qmiles. (Note: It usually takes 2 to 3 days to transfer from Citi ThankYou to Qatar Qmiles, so you will have to initiate this now to make it in time!!)
  
• Convert Accor points at 2:1 ratio: Accor hotels are one of the great conversion options if you have them. You can convert 2,000 Accor Rewards points to 1,000 Qatar Airways Qmiles. This is the least desirable option right now as it can take up to 10 days for the transfer to happen.

So, get going and if you have Qmiles expiring extend them now before they expire. (P.S. You might be lucky if Qatar Airways decides to extend them further for free but you might not want to take your chances :))

American Express has been on a tear with awesome credit card offers of late and to top it the current offers through referral where you get up to $200 additional statement credit for purchases at "select home furnishing stores" is just icing on the cake.
