Earn upto 20k Amex Membership reward points with Amex Platinum Authorized user cards [YMMV]9/24/2017 Lately American Express has been promoting their credit cards by giving away bonuses for authorized users on personal credit cards. There have been bonuses on some good cards such as 2.5k SPG points for authorized users on Starwood Preferred Guest, and 2.5k Membership Reward points for authorized users on Everyday Preferred card. One of the interesting offer is for authorized user on Amex Platinum Card where you earn 5k Membership Reward points for each authorized user upto 20k Membership reward points in total. This offer may not be available to all holders of Amex Platinum Card but you can check by clicking this link and login in to your Amex Platinum online account. The offer gives 20k Membership reward points in total for upto 4 authorized users when you spend $500 on each authorized user card but you need to add all of them at the same time. Also you can choose to add American Express Gold card for no extra cost if you are doing this just for membership reward points without the real benefits of the card.
Lot of the folks who have this offer would see it expiring on 10/20/2017 but quite a few might have different date of expiration so do check for expiration date before you apply for the offer. One other thing is you do NOT require to provide SSN for authorized users up-front. Even when the card arrives you can get away with activating the card by calling in and providing alternate evidence such as Passport instead of SSN number. Also being an authorized user does not exclude the authorized users from getting their own primary card in the future along with the sign on bonus if they never had this card before as a primary applicant. So see if you have this offer and if yes earning 20k Bonus Membership reward points with a total spend of just $2000 without a credit pull is a great deal. There is an Alaska Airlines offer to earn 1k to 3k Alaska Mileage Plan miles which is going to expire in less than 2 weeks. Alaska Airlines miles are valuable as you can redeem that at array of airline partners and they have pretty good award redemption chart for most of their partners. With the offer "Take the Dash for Miles Challenge" you can earn 1k miles for transaction with each partner. The details of the terms can be found here and you need to register for the offer on the same page. While doing transaction with all 3 partners should be easy you could still do offer with only one of the partner and pocket 1k miles. Below are the three partners where you can earn 1k miles: Mileage Plan Dining: If you are new member you also earn bonus miles for your first dine but it requires a minimum purchase amount. Alternatively you can spend as low as $1 on any of the participating dining partner and earn 1k miles under Dash Challenge. The Opinion Terminal: You earn 400 miles as well after you register and do the first survey. This could be YMMV as you need to complete the survey successfully to earn 1k bonus mile under Dash Challenge. Mileage Plan Shopping: You can easily earn 1k miles in Dash challenge by making a purchase of ~$1 at JCPenney or Home Depot. For Home Depot you can do in-store pick up and just pocket 1k Alaska Mileage Plan miles. So, go ahead and get some quick miles before this offer expires. Uber has recently launched public program of Visa local offers in select markets where you earn the Uber Credits (Can be used for Uber or Ubereats). You need to have Visa card added to your Uber account and enroll for the program. Once you enroll you will see offers to earn Uber credits at nearby places. The offers are available at various local participating places for any given month and depends on location where you have these participating partners rather than your home address. All you have to do is purchase using the Visa card (use credit card option at checkout) registered on your Uber account at participating partners. While most of these places are restaurants there are quite a few interesting places such as Staples, Walgreens, Whole Foods Market etc. The Uber credit is limited to dollar amount per purchase which varies from $20 to $100 based on the partner but you can make as many purchases in a day with each earning up-to the limit credit. Also note the terms mention that Gift Card purchases are excluded but in reality it is an YMMV and from my experience purchases having combination of Gift cards and regular items and which earn Uber credit within the maximum credit limit works fine. One example of interest is Staples. As you can see from above you can earn Uber credits at Staples store and since you can earn 5x Ultimate Rewards points on all your purchases made with Chase Ink/ Ink plus card at office stores this would give you Uber credits for the purchases you might already be making. As mentioned earlier you can keep the purchases at amount lower that the maximum purchase amount ($200 for Staples as per the offer) on which you earn Uber credits which would hopefully trigger the credits.
So get the Uber credits using the Visa local offer while it lasts. Disclaimer: Some of the links used in the post may be referral links and earn referral to this site. We appreciate you supporting the website. |
