IHG PointBreaks - Book through Jan 31st, 2020

Priority Club (IHG) has released the PointBreaks list for hotel reservations on award night for stay till Jan 31st, 2020. The PointBreaks now provide category of hotels which can be booked for 5k, 10k or 15k IHG Priority club points. Since you can always acquire IHG Priority club points for 0.6 cents/points or even less at times the PointBreaks allow for stays at a discounted price compared to the cash rates.

Since the number of rooms available in participating hotels on PointBreaks rate are limited it may be better to book it early and cancel if needed rather than wait for concrete plans. Below are the hotels available currently at just 5k points.

Priority Club, International Hotels Group (IHG) have their popular PointsBreaks rewards now bookable for stay till Aug 31st 2019. IHG now has 3 tier of rewards bookable at 5k, 10k, and 15k IHG points. IHG also keeps selling the points with bonus points where the most recent offer which ended on June 8th, 2019 was with 100% bonus bringing the cost down to 0.5 cent/point. So, if you are interested in any of the PointsBreaks hotel but do not have enough points it might be worth to look into the purchase option for the points.

IHG Accelerate Promotion - May 1st to Aug 31st, 2019

IHG Rewards Club has their new promotion available starting May 1st 2019 for stays from May 1st 2019 to Aug 31st 2019. They are again naming this as Accelerate promotion and It is similar to their past promotion where they have targeted stay offers to various individual based on their past stay with IHG Rewards Club program. The terms of this promotion can be found here.

Do note that some of the folks (including myself) are getting error message when trying to register for this promotion. It could either be some glitch in the roll out of the promotion or IHG has come up with new way of targeting this promotion :(. I was able to register one other family member account which I manage and below are the bonus offers on that account.

IHG Accelerate 2019 Promotion Offers

Since the offers are targeted they would be different for different folks (Some might have less stay requirement which others might have more and would get different total amount of points). Based on the past promotions if your stay satisfies more than one task requirements you would earn points for both of them based on the total requirement.

For e.g. from above staying 4 separate nights where 3 nights are with different brands and 2 of those nights being booked with "bonus points package" would satisfy all the requirements of the offers for the targeted bonus promotion and can earn 30,800 IHG Rewards Points!! Also these points are in addition to the base points and any other promotions points which you would have registered for.

The points can be used for one of the well known PointBreaks promotion where you can stay at participating hotels for either 5k, 10k or 15k IHG Rewards Points. IHG POINTBREAKS WITH HOTELS FOR 5K POINTS LIVE NOW

IHG PointBreaks hotel are once again here and they are live for your booking. You could book the hotels for just 5k points per night. You could easily buy points from ~0.6 cents/points or less by either going through Daily Getaways IHG Points purchase if you do not have any IHG Points or by booking and cancelling cash + points booking provided you have atleast 5k points in your IHG account. You can refer here on how to purchase IHG points using cash+points booking.

Although there are certain restrictions on how many nights per hotel each member can book, it is rarely enforced in practice. Below is the sample list of hotels in "United States of America" available for booking at 5k points per night and there are smaller lists for other countries. So go ahead and make your reservations NOW!!

NEW IHG POINTSBREAK LIST GOES LIVE ON 07/27

One of the best values of IHG points is the "PointBreaks" where you can book hotels in the list for only 5,000 IHG points. The next IHG PointBreaks list is already published and the hotels will become bookable on 27th July 2015. You can book the hotels on the list for stay till October 31st, 2015. As always, you might want browse the list as soon as possible to see which hotels you would be interested in and book them as soon as the list goes live. Lot of hotels drop off the list once their set PointBreak limit is reached.

The best part is you can easily generate IHG points for $7 per 1,000 points after you buy initial 10,000 points for $135. This could help you get enough points even if you do not have sufficient points to book multiple nights to begin with. Also milestomemories has posted a good map which makes it easier to look the hotels for your desired destination.

So, get going and see if there are properties of interest where you can stay for only $35 per night.
